Delete Source Content

You can use DocMigrator to delete source content after a successful migration. The source link must exist for the DocMigrator to do so. This is only applicable to source types:

  1. SAP DB
  2. ArchiveLink Content Server
  3. ArchiveLink Gimmal Link Enterprise ECM

File deletion is not supported at this time.

This process uses all the input criteria available for selection parameters.

Delete Source Link

You can use DocMigrator to delete source ArchiveLink links after a successful migration. Typically this is done after validation of your migration. If during the migration and validation time frame, you wish to not show duplicate entries in the SAP attachment list (if using the DocManager attachment list), you can optionally hide the target entries via the DocManager config until after all is completed and verified. Then unhide the new attachments and delete the old, or optionally keep the old links and simply hide them as well.

This process uses all the input criteria available for selection parameters.

The results of the Load phase are displayed on the screen according to the option "Display Results in ALV" checkbox. If this option is chosen, all entries are displayed in the ALV report format, else a simple message indicating the number of entries loaded successfully, with info message, or errors is displayed.

If ALV is chosen, the header will display information as to the breakdown of entries loaded successfully, with info message, or errors.

Be careful when choosing "Display Results in ALV" as for large datasets this will significantly increase runtime and potential SAP system memory usage and timeouts. It is therefore suggested to use the "Display" mode of the migrator afterwards instead of displaying the results in ALV format.

Clicking on the source or target hotspot/hyperlink in the ALV allows you to view the image prior to deleting the link or content, but of course is not supported after.
