SAP Connection - ECM Only

This is required for ECM only.

Ensure the Enterprise Connector windows service is turned on.

  1. Visit the Enterprise Connector configuration ui via https://localhost:82 (enter user name: link, password: link)
  2. Under the "Connections" category in the left navigation panel click "SAP".
  3. Click "Add Row". (SAP connection config dialog box will appear)
  4. Complete the rest of the SAP configuration information by filling in the relevant details in the input box's. (For help setting some of these values work with SAP Basis team members.)
  5. Click "Test Connection" if a text displays "Success" then proceed to save the connection.
  6. If "Success" does not appear, you may need to check if the connection details are correct. (Check with basis team)

The SAP non dialogue system account with elevated permissions to allow the middleware to communicate with SAP.

The non expiring password for the SAP system account

App. Server Host 

The application server host name or ip address(disabled if using load balancing) 



Gateway Host 

The gateway host name or ip address that the RFC destinations are configured to.

Gateway Port 

The port number used to communicate with the gateway. Typically 33## with the ##’s being the system number

Use Load Balanced Server 

When enabled a message server can be configured to handle incoming Enterprise Connector calls. If available it is recommended that this be utilized 



Msg. Server Host

The message server host name or ip address.

Msg. Server Port 

The port number to use to communicate with the message server. Typically 36## with the ##’s being the system number.

Production 

Use Secure Network Connection (SNC) 

If enabled secure communication will be used between the Enterprise Connector and SAP. Generally this is not needed since all communication is from servers behind a firewall.

QOS 

The SNC quality of service 



SNC Library 

The SNC library location 



Use SAP Router 

If enabled SAP router technology is used for communication.

The SAP router configuration 



If an error message occurs, or if there is no response at all, please refer to the Enterprise Connector log file. 

Note: A typical reason for no response is either the SAP Gateway has security enabled and Basis must allow access (refer to above section Configure SAP Gateway – Enterprise ECM Only) or the SAP Jco library does not exist in the Jco folder.  *the Windows service must be restarted for changed to take effect
